VideoJack (FI/PT)
Written by PetriR on March 22, 2009.Video Jack aim to push the boundaries of VJing, bringing together animation, music and programming to create innovative audio-visual solutions. Video Jack started in 2004 as a collaboration between André Carrilho and Nuno Correia. André is an illustrator/designer/animator and works for publications such as New York Times, The Independent and Vanity Fair. Nuno Correia (aka Coden) is a programmer/musician and is a PhD student and teacher at Media Lab Helsinki. They are based in Portugal and Finland.
Video Jack have performed regularly at Lux club (Lisbon) and other clubs in Portugal. In addition, they have performed and showcased work in New York, Barcelona, London, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Brazil, China, France, Denmark and Russia. As VJs, they have played with top international DJs, such as Ellen Allien, Tiefschwarz, Radio Slave, Matthew Dear, Loco Dice, Alter Ego, Rub-n-Tub, Sami Koivikko, DJ Koze, Phage & Daniel Drier, Danton Eeprom, Ian Ossia and DJ T.
